Scientist of Mechanics and Applied Mathematics; A native of Rongcheng, Shandong Province; Graduated from Peking University in 1935; Received PhD Degree in Aeronautics & Mathematics from California Institute of Technology, USA in 1945; Research professor of IMCAS
Returned to China from abroad in 1956; Deputy Director of IMCAS from 1957 to December 1968; Elected as Member (Academician) of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1957; Unfortunately sacrificed his life due to air crash in December 1968.
