On 25 April, during the opening ceremony of the First International Conference on Deep Space Exploration (Tiandu) centered on "Win-Win Cooperation and Flying to Deep Space", the Deep Space Exploration Laboratory formed a strategic alliance with the Institute of Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. This resulted in the establishment of the "Luo Xisheng Scientist Studio". The lab partnered with the Institute of Mechanics and established the "Luo Xisheng Scientist Studio". Wu Weiren, the boss of the Deep Space Exploration Lab, and Luo Xisheng, the boss of the Institute of Mechanics, signed the agreement representing both sides.
The Deep Space Exploration Lab is a joint venture between the National Space Administration, Anhui Provincial People's Government, and University of Science and Technology of China. It is focused on exploring the frontiers of space science and technology while addressing the strategic needs of the country's national space program. The Lab carries out basic and innovative research in deep space exploration, aiming to integrate science, engineering, and technology to develop new scientific and technological research institutions. The creation of the "Academician Workstation and Scientist Workshop" aims to enhance the recruitment of skilled professionals and provide robust backing for building the team of experts and advancing the Laboratory's scientific research.
Upon signing the agreement and forming the Scientist Workshop between Deep Space Exploration Laboratory and Institute of Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, both parties will engage in strategic collaboration in scientific and technological research, talent development, and achievements' transformation. They will abide by the principle of "strategic collaboration, complementary advantages, collaborative innovation, and common development", serving the national strategy of deep space exploration and boosting the original innovation of deep space exploration science and technology.
