PIFI is open to applications once a year from early August to mid September (deadline of PIFI application of 2018 is Sep.30th,2017) .The appraisal result will be released no later than the end of November. Applicants that passed the appraisal are entitled to visit CAS and conduct research in the coming year.

Two ways are available to help you find a host researcher and apply for PIFI:

1.If you already have a specific CAS collaborator who is willing to assist you with a PIFI application, you can prepare the application together via exiting contact methods. Your application’s progress will be updated for you by your CAS collaborator.

2.If you do not yet have a specific CAS collaborator, you can search for CAS researchers who might be interested to receive your PIFI application via the “Find Your Host” button, and then send your resume. If he or she is willing to help you with your application, you will be contacted via email. You can also follow your application’s progress at your personal homepage on this site.(Note: If more than one CAS researcher accepts your PIFI application, the internal application system only records the resume that was sent in first. So please notify other potential collaborators when you decide with whom you would like to cooperate so as not to affect your application)
